Collection Instructions:
U24: Discard first morning sample, then collect all urines after for 24 hrs, on completion label with collection time and patient's name; record total volume on Requisition
Storage Transport Instructions:
Custom Instruction: Record 24 hour urine volume and test request form and urine vial. Refrigerate during and after collection.
Also acceptable: Add 1 g boric acid per 100 mL urine. Transfer aliquot urine from a 24 hour collection to a standard transport tube. Record total volume and collection time interval on transport tube and test request form.
Specimen Comment:
Urine must be refrigerated during collection.
