Collection Instructions:
SST: Fill tube, invert gently 5 times, label with patient name, let stand for minimum of 30 minutes, maximum of 1 hr, spin for 10-15 minutes
Specimen Comment:
Collect between 14.0 weeks to 22 6/7 weeks. Maternal date of birth (mm/dd/yy), estimated date of delivery by US/LMP/PE, weight, race, insulin-dependent diabetes status, repeat sample (Y/N), number of fetuses, and neural tube defect history must be provided for interpretation of results. Reject criteria: Gross hemolysis, Grossly lipemic
