Collection Instructions:
LAV: Fill lavender-top (EDTA) tube completely, invert 8-10 times. DO NOT SHAKE TUBE!
SST: Fill tube, invert gently 5 times, label with patient name, let stand for minimum of 30 minutes, maximum of 1 hr, spin for 10-15 minutes
SST: Fill tube, invert gently 5 times, label with patient name, let stand for minimum of 30 minutes, maximum of 1 hr, spin for 10-15 minutes
Storage Transport Instructions:
Primary Instruction: LAV: Fill lavender-top (EDTA) tube completely, invert 8-10 times. DO NOT SHAKE TUBE!
SST: Fill tube, invert gently 5 times, label with patient name, let stand for minimum of 30 minutes, maximum of 1 hr, spin for 10-15 minutes
Storage/Transport Instruction: THYROID: If T4 (free/total) or TSH are ABN then ANTI-TPO Ab and Thyroglobulin will be ran.
LYME: Any ABN results to IgG will reflex to IgM/WB
CONNECTIVE: Any ABN results on ANA will reflex to dsDNA, RF, Anti SSA, Anti SSB, Anti-SM/RnP, Anti CCP.
VIRAL: IF ONLY the HGB in the CBC <10 then Retic Count, Ferritin, Folic acid, Vit B12, Erythropoietin, Iron, Iron % Sat, and TIBC will be ran.
