Coping with Stress During COVID-19

This past year has been one of uncertainty and many people’s lives have changed drastically over the course of nine months. While maintaining social distancing and stay at home orders, routine health has taken a back seat to protecting ourselves and each other from infection. As we wrap up the holidays and enter into a new year with COVID-19 cases at an all-time high, it’s more important than ever to prioritize health and wellness, both physically and mentally. Many healthcare providers are offering telehealth services in place of in-person office visits to limit their patient’s exposure so it is a good time to schedule any overdue wellness visits.

High stress levels can take a toll on overall health and wellbeing. The CDC lists ways to take care of yourself and cope with any stress you may be facing.

Healthy Ways to Cope With Stress:

  • Know what to do if you are sick and are concerned about COVID- 19 (Contact a health professional)
  • Know where and how to get treatment and other support services and resources

Staying Healthy with BioReference

At BioReference, we are proud to offer a variety of tests that range from routine to specialty tests. We also continue to offer PCR and antibody testing for COVID-19, as well as a test that differentiates COVID-19 from the flu.

Our patient service centers are following social distancing rules to minimize the risk of infection. Please wear a mask before entering, keep at least 6 feet away from other patients, and if a waiting room is at max capacity, please wait outside. If you have a fever or other lower respiratory illness symptoms and have been exposed to coronavirus, please do not enter our facility for the safety of our staff and other patient.
