There’s no place like home. No, there really isn’t. Especially when it’s become so easy to simply grab your phone or laptop and quickly order dinner, clothing or a movie with just a few simple taps or clicks. On-demand is no longer a luxury; it’s a way of life. And the healthcare industry now has options to satisfy consumers’ needs for mobile, on-demand solutions.
Meet Scarlet, a safe and convenient way for you to get your specimen collected for laboratory testing. Scarlet eliminates the need to travel to get laboratory specimens collected. No more anxiety about increased exposure to illnesses like COVID-19 or the flu. No more concerns about privacy when it comes to anything health-related.
Instead, with Scarlet, you get to choose when and where you want your laboratory specimens collected. That could be either at home or where you work. The choice is yours.
So how does it work?
The next time your healthcare provider writes you out a prescription for laboratory testing workup, ask them if they’re working with Scarlet. If they are, it couldn’t be simpler.
If your healthcare provider is working with Scarlet, they will let us know and we’ll take it from there. Through a text message or email, you’ll receive a link from us to get you started. Just verify your identity, schedule a date and time that works for you, and choose the location where you’d like Scarlet to come collect your laboratory specimen.
Once you’re scheduled, just sit back and wait. The really neat part is that you can keep track of your Scarlet health professional once they are on the way to you. Follow along in real-time to see how close they are to your location.
Which laboratory specimens does Scarlet collect? Scarlet’s health professionals can collect most laboratory samples that healthcare providers order for their patients. Yes, that even includes both COVID-19 PCR (swab) and antibody (blood) test samples if a healthcare provider has ordered these tests for you.
Scarlet is currently available in select locations across the country, but we are rapidly expanding. To use Scarlet’s mobile collection services, you will need a laboratory testing order from your healthcare provider.
